Large Flake Oats (Old Fashioned Rolled Oats) per serving
½ cup Large Flake Oats
1 cup Water
Pinch of Salt
Stovetop: Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Large Flake Oats, reduce heat and cook 10-20 minutes (depending on desired consistency). Stir occasionally. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for a few minutes.
Microwave: In a large bowl combine ½ cup Large Flake Oats and 1 cup water. Cover and microwave on high for 3-5 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Quick Cooking Oats (Instant Oatmeal) per serving
½ cup Quick Cooking Oats
1 cup Water
Pinch of Salt
Stovetop: Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Quick Cooking Oats, reduce heat to medium low and cook 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for a few minutes.
Microwave: In a large bowl combine ½ cup Quick Cooking Oats and 1 cup water. Cover and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes and stir well before serving.
Steel Cut Oats (Irish Oatmeal) per serving
½ cup Steel Cut Oats
1½ cup Water & Pinch of salt
Stovetop: Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Steel Cut Oats, reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 10-20 minutes (to your liking), stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for a few minutes before serving.
Scotch Oatmeal (Porridge) per serving
½ cup Scotch Oatmeal
1½ cup Water
1/4 Tsp Salt
Stovetop: Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Scotch Oatmeal, reduce heat to medium low and cook 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for a few minutes.
Microwave: In a large bowl combine 1/4 cup Scotch Oatmeal and 3/4 cup water. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Cover and let stand for 2 minutes and stir well before serving.
Arva 8 Grain Cereal per serving
½ cup Arva 8 Grain
1½ cup Water
1/4 Tsp Salt
Stovetop: Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Arva 8 Grain, reduce heat to medium low and cook 8 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for a few minutes.
Microwave: In a large bowl combine 1/4 cup Arva 8 Grain and 3/4 cup water. Microwave on high for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cover and let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Oat Groats per serving
½ cup Oat Groats
1 cups Water
1/2 Tsp Salt
Stovetop: Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Oat Groats, return to a boil and reduce heat to medium high, boil uncovered for 30 minutes, or until soft. Remove from heat, drain off excess liquid and serve.
