Large flake oats are made by steaming, flattening and cutting oat groats into large flakes. These are thick and take longer to cook than quick oats (about 10 min). Why we love it: Large flake oats have a nutty flavour and retain their shape and more of their texture when cooked
½ cup Organic Large Flake Oats1 cup WaterPinch of SaltStovetop: Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Large Flake Oats, reduce heat, and cook 10-20minutes (depending on the consistency you desire). Stir occasionally. Cover and remove from heat andlet stand a few minutes.Microwave: In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup Large Flake Oats and 1 cup water. Cover andmicrowave on high for 3-5 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes.
